Book Launch!

Image
Hello, readers! Today, Sharon Rose's third book is released! I haven't heard of her series until recently, but I am definitely going to be purchasing and reading all three books!  Doesn't the cover just look absolutely amazing??! I love the soft colors and vintage look😍😍😍 ~~~   His family was abased, and their castle destroyed. Now a hint of the king’s favor marks him for murder. Saving the king’s life has lifted Thomas Kaituer from impoverished exile. It also earned him a title—without a scrap of authority or noble privilege. All Sir Thomas gains from his courtesy title are a few party invitations and contempt from the House of Maerton—the very rivals who drove his family from their ancestral land. When a stranger points out the ruins of Kaituer Castle to Thomas, he cannot resist visiting the home from which his grandfather fled into exile. Now a desolate scene where all may tread—except Thomas. Was he lured here with deadly intent? Who shot that arrow at him? An

Book Review-- Ilyon Chronicles

Image
Hello, everyone!  Today, I will be reviewing Ilyon Chronicles, book one, and the prequel novella.  A fantasy world with dragons and new people... what is not to love?! Gladiators, despicable villains, a sassy prince, Ilyon Chronicles definitely has a forever place on my bookshelf! I procrastinated on getting this series for a few years because I, personally, do not like magic. And most fantasy books do have magic in them, so I was very hesitant, read every review out there, but none of them--or any that I could find--said if there was magic in the series or not. Finally, I met a young woman who was a fan of this series and she promised me that there was absolutely no magic. So, if you're an oddball like me who doesn't like magic, be assured that this series has no magic whatsoever, while still keeping true to the High Fantasy Genre.  (And yes, it's possible for fantasy to not have magic. I was surprised and delighted to learn thatπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚) First off is book one! Overall review

Book Review-- The Blades of Acktar

Image
Today, I have the pleasure of writing a review of the Blades of Acktar series by Tricia Mingerink If you have not read this series, please, I beg you. Go read it. You will not regret it! Assassins, loveable heroes, edge-of-your-seat action and suspense, the sweetest romance ever… What more is there to want?? I laughed, I cried, I screamed and threw one of them πŸ‘€ (Okay. I didn’t throw the book. But I wanted to. Seriously contemplated it) Alright. *deep breath* Fangirling it over, it’s time for the review. (Disclaimer: this review is done solely because I love the series and believe everyone should know about it. And I also love helping out authors. The review is my honest to goodness opinion)       Overall review: Dare is, personally, my favorite book in the series. I love the redemption, the search for truth, the new-found friendships. Sexual instances: The book starts out with one character (bad guy) bringing in a girl and saying “Found her in a tavern. Thought we’d

My First (real) Book

Image
It all started one evening. I was doing homework while face timing my best friend. Sprawled out over my bed.  Then it hit me. An image of a single man. Holding a sword. Standing in the center of a battlefield.  And that was the start of a four years writing what is now The Chronicles of Elyndia.  Now, four years is a long time to spend writing a book. At the very beginning, I was working on a different writing project. See, I've been a story teller all my life. Ask anyone who knows meπŸ˜‚ So this New Shiny Idea was kind of on the back burner. I plotted. I wrote random little scenes, just getting to know this new character.  Who turned out to be Torrin Slater. The dethroned King of Elyndia.  (I was also finishing up my last year of high-school. Fun days, am I right?) I finally finished the current writing project and moved on to my New Shiny Idea and started seriously writing it. This was maybe a few months after that evening that started it all. And the story kept growing. And kept
