Cover Reveal for Yours Truly!

Eeeee!! Today's the day! Broken Crown's gorgeous cover is live!

Isn't it beautiful??? Molly from We Got You Covered did an amazing job!

Nobody is safe forever.

The last thing Torrin wants is to ask pirates. But when tragedy strikes the Anathemans, he has no choice but to go to the people who are more likely to kill him than help.

Cyprian struggles to balance being a Shadow for one king, and a spy for another. He doesn’t know how long he can keep up the façade. One thing is clear, though: he can’t slip up.

Broken Crown is the second book in Chronicles of Elyndia, a clean, young adult Christian fantasy series that follows a dethroned king and his ragtag group of friends as they fight to regain their home.

You can pre-order Broken Crown here!

Here is an honest review of the content you will find in Broken Crown. As a reader, I always loved to find reviews about books I was looking at that listed everything I might be concerned of. And so, as an author, I will be posting honest reviews on any book I publish here on my blog, so that everyone knows what they can expect.

My goal is to provide clean books that everyone can enjoy. But it is impossible to write a book for everyone in the world, so I provide these to serve as trigger warnings for anyone who may have a trigger or just something they're uncomfortable with. (Also may have forgotten to include trigger warnings on the front pages of Fallen King and Broken Crown 😅 But the next books will have them!)

Overall Rating: PG13 for violence and thematic elements

Sexual Instances: absolutely none. There is one very mild flirting scene for the sake of getting one character away from the bad guy, but nothing horrible. Only iffy comment is "age is just a number" but it is said to get away from the bad guy.

Magic: there are talking animals, talking dragons, and normal dragons. I personally don't consider that magic, but others may.

Language: no written English curses. There are instances of characters swearing, or they swear in a made up language. Words like 'anoro', 'misake', made up words like those.

Violence: killings and fighting, but no gore. Brief details to make the scene immersive, and extremely sensitive readers may want to proceed with caution. But nothing over PG13.

Other: mentions of slavery. Background characters drinking and gambling. A village is burned down and several background characters are burned to death.
